Doug Heavisides started out teaching English at Hartford High, moved on to become director of the Hartford Area Career and Technology Center for nearly a decade, and then principal of The Wilder School, the district’s venue for students with autism or severe behavioral challenges. But now, he’s back teaching English at White River Valley High.
