Dan Fraser, co-owner and moving force at Dan & Whit's, was elected to replace Rebecca White as she moves on to the state legislature. Fraser's lived in WRJ for decades. Oh, and the town budget passed. (VN, subscription required)Meanwhile, in Norwich itself, Roger Arnold unseats Linda Cook; John Langhus is re-elected. Voters also opted to reduce use of fossil fuels, but defeated money for trails for alternative commuting routes. Up in Thetford, Nick Clark won a seat on the SB; in Woodstock, incumbents John Doten and Jill Davies beat back SB challengers. (VN, you know the drill)Springfield votes down its school budget. It called for about 10 percent higher spending.
