WELCOME TO THE LAST DAYBREAK DIVERSIONS, UPPER VALLEY!

Lost Woods: Brainstorming. In which Henry and Wally brainstorm, while Auk and Eddy have other ideas. No such thing as a straight line. If the sound of kids laughing makes you grin, then you’ll want to watch these kids playing. The baby-goat kind of kids. In slo-mo. Accompanied by a Tchaikovsky waltz. Leaping through the air, twisting, climbing hay bales, always in motion, four hooves almost never on the ground at one time. It’s pure joy. The youngest are just a week old, say the owners of Sunflower Farm Creamery, in ME, and already wiser about how to move through this world than we’ll ever be.“We have decided to ask many experts a very simple question: What is the greatest children's book of all time?” Hoo, boy! The BBC asked 177 experts—critics, authors, and publishing figures from around the world—to list the 10 greatest children’s books, then ranked the top 100. You will absolutely say, “Awww, I loved that book!” more than once. You might even have believed you were the only person to own some of them (Finn Family Moomintroll, anyone? Yet there it is, at number 60). Here’s an idea: Toss the rest of your summer reading list and pick a few gems from this list instead.SPONSORED: UVTA Tour de Taste—Registration Open! It's called "indoor skydiving" and it requires an enclosed wind tunnel. Fun and mesmerizing all on its own. And now, of course, there are world championships—for, among other things, what amounts to synchronized aerial dance, which is officially known as Dynamic 4-Way. Here's the Singapore team's gold-medal-winning routine from earlier this year.Today's Wordbreak. With a word from the regional news.

The Teskey Brothers spent nine years playing the bars of Melbourne, Australia, and didn't come to wider attention on their home continent until 2017. Now, it's fair to say, they've got fans on more than a few continents for their sound, which a reviewer once described as occupying "a space bordered on one side by old-fashioned Muscle Shoals southern soul ballads and on the other by the late-60s blues revival." Here's their cover of The Zombies' 1968 "This Will Be Our Year."And that's a wrap!
