When I first considered asking for Daybreak readers’ suggestions for Upper Valley groups to highlight, I figured a few dozen people would respond. Instead, more than 300 did. The result is almost like a story in itself: a kaleidoscopic portrait of just how much sheer energy and creativity locals are putting into making the Upper Valley and the world better places to live.
Even so, the list below is hardly comprehensive—it’s just the groups Daybreak readers mentioned. You’ll find the organization’s name, a quote or two, and a link to its site. Some are well known, others are obscure, but all make their homes here in the Upper Valley (with apologies to everyone who nominated groups based outside the Upper Valley: I had to draw the line somewhere.)
There’s no particular order, in hopes you’ll explore, donate or volunteer, and above all, learn something about this place we all live. Happy scrolling!
